Updike Purchases Certain Assets
Of M.D. Larkin Company; Mike Williams Joins Updike Supply
We are pleased to announce that Updike Supply has purchased the customer
list, sales records and the name M.D. Larkin Company effective January
14, 2008. Larkin had recently ceased operations for financial
reasons and Updike was able to provide a smooth transition for Larkin’s
customers.
Mike Williams, long time valued Larkin employee, has joined Updike as
a Customer Service Representative. Mike is available to assist
any of Larkin’s former customers as well as serve Updike customers’ needs. Please
welcome Mike to Updike.
We are proud that Larkin’s former owner chose to have the 100
year old M.D. Larkin join the Updike family. Larkin joins Auerhammer
Tool and The Klin Co. as industrial distributors that were added during
our growth of the last 10 years. Updike Supply has grown significantly
during this time by trying our very best every day to serve your needs. Thanks
to you, our valued customers, we will be here for many years to come!
Exciting New Product Lines
Updike is pleased to announce that we are now an authorized distributor
of Titex and Prototyp which offer a wide range of drilling and
threading tools.
Titex offers one of the broadest ranges of HSS-E and carbide drilling
products available including more sizes than any other competitor we’ve
found. Titex specializes in developing different geometries and
coatings to meet the challenges of many difficult applications and materials.
Products include a full range of metric sizes, deep hole drills that
can go 30 X D without pecking, coolant through in smaller diameters,
subland drills and many, many more.
Prototyp is known for a full range of high performance threading products
including taps, carbide thread mills and inserted thread mills. As
with Titex, Prototyp utilizes the latest geometries and coatings to achieve
phenomenal results in difficult applications.

YG-1 Product Line Added
With the M.D. Larkin customer transition to Updike, we’ve added
the YG-1 product line. YG-1 offers a broad range of drills, carbide
and powered metal end mills, taps and rotary tool holders that provide
excellent performance at a very reasonable price.
Products of particular interest are the carbide “Dream Drills” in
both coolant thru and non coolant fed varieties. These drills
are stocked in both inch and metric sizes. Stock sizes include
short, long and extra long lengths capable of drilling up to 8X diameter. An
excellent value is also available for standard and parabolic flute HSCO
twist drills.
Material specific carbide end mills are offered for everything from
aluminum to high temp alloys to materials up to 70 Rc. As with
all YG-1 products the value of these tools is outstanding! Following

Updike Introduces Sellars® Sorbents and Wipers
We are pleased to announce the introduction of Sellars® sorbents
and wipers. Sellars® offers a full range of wipers and sorbents
including pads, rolls, socks and drum toppers. Wipers come in rolls,
pop-up boxes and their unique bucket refill system. Products are in stock
for quick delivery.
Sellars® utilizes a new industry leading technology, Q-CEL™,
in their Eversoak™ brand of sorbents. Patent pending Q-CEL™ technology
